
Once again, Council’s Annual Volunteer Expo has proved to be a huge success! Held on Saturday 3 May 2025 at Encore Event Centre, the Expo supported 48 local organisations in showcasing their volunteer opportunities and attracted over 400 attendees from across the community.
To date 149 volunteers have been recruited as a direct result of the Volunteer Expo, which is an incredible outcome for these organisations that are often only able to exist due to the support of their volunteers.

Being a nonprofit and currently run fully by volunteers, events like this are vital to our existence ... Prior to the Expo stallholders received support to become ‘volunteer ready’, including the preparation of role descriptions, orientation checklists and tips for finding the right volunteer for their organisations.
