Australia Day in Wyndham is a free, family-friendly event that invites residents of all ages to come together to enjoy the many ways our community expresses what it means to be Australian.

This year’s celebrations will be held in the beautiful Warringa Crescent Reserve in Hoppers Crossing, and will feature a diverse program of entertainment, activities and community participation, creating opportunities to connect, and enjoy a great day out together. 

The stage program will reflect the spirit and diversity of our community and keep the energy flowing all day! From interactive live music and dance experiences with kids' band Team Dream, community Zumba and participatory Bollywood dance, to the colour and excitement of Chinese lion dancers and the high-octane drumming of Junkyard Beats. As the afternoon unfolds, Australian one-man band Rhys Crimmin will blend didgeridoo, blues and storytelling, before Australian Idol star Harry Lamb and Band close out the celebrations with a feel-good festival finale packed with upbeat live anthems.

Beyond the stage, there will be plenty to enjoy throughout the event, including:

• Interactive roving performances
• Kids' activities, creative play spaces and hands-on experiences
• Community stalls and opportunities to connect with local groups
• Sporting activities and outdoor games
• Food vendors serving a variety of delicious options, including some Australian favourites.

The event will also include the presentation of the 2027 Wyndham Citizen of the Year and Young Citizen of the Year Awards, recognising community members whose outstanding contributions help make Wyndham a stronger, more connected and welcoming place to live.

Warringa Crescent Reserve is located on the corner of Powell Drive and Warringa Crescent, Hoppers Crossing, a short distance from Pacific Werribee and Hoppers Crossing Station. The reserve is easily accessible by public transport, including direct bus services and connections from Hoppers Crossing Station and Pacific Werribee. Free street parking is available nearby.
