Are you passionate about storytelling and the magic of theatre?
The Green Room Project Emerging is a dynamic new initiative designed to nurture aspiring playwrights, foster creativity, and connect emerging writers with industry professionals.
Wyndham Cultural Centre Theatre in partnership with Melbourne Writers’ Theatre are offering a free immersive playwriting program which will be held in the City of Wyndham in 2026. Up to six selected writers will embark on a journey to develop and complete a brand-new short play, guided by experienced facilitators and professional actors.
This program is perfect for writers at the beginning of their playwriting journey. Whilst applications from those with some experience will be considered, priority will be given to those with little or no playwriting background.
The program is open to all writers aged 18+ who live, work or have a connection to the City of Wyndham. We strongly encourage applications from writers of diverse cultural backgrounds, abilities, perspectives and ages.
