Wyndham City is taking applications for students to undertake work placements across our organisation. We are one of Australia’s fastest growing and most diverse cities. Our Council Officers are the engine-room creating, shaping and servicing the growing local community. They take great pride in the work they do, for what they do directly enhances the liveability and social interaction of the residents within our Community.

Requirements

To be eligible for a tertiary student placement with Wyndham City, you must:

  • Be enrolled in a TAFE or tertiary education institution and require a placement as part of your course.
  • Live in or study within the Wyndham municipality.
  • Be 18 years of age or older.
  • Be covered for insurance by your educational institution (i.e. Personal Accident Insurance, Public Liability Insurance and Travel Insurance) and have approval from your institution to undertake the placement.
  • Be required to dress in smart business casual attire (unless advised otherwise by the relevant Department)
  • Agree on placement hours and location in consultation with your assigned supervisor.
  • Be willing to complete any required checks and documentation associated with the placement.

We welcome applications from eligible students and will do our best to support placement opportunities where available. Due to hybrid working arrangements and periods of high demand, placements cannot be guaranteed; however, all applications will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
