One Million Stories Representing one million refugees welcomed to Australia.

Join us during Refugee Week for a powerful community event celebrating storytelling, creativity, and lived experience through poetry and spoken word.

Participants were invited to respond creatively to the theme. “What We Carry” Not just belongings, but language, memory, recipes, songs, grief, and hope. The invisible suitcase.

Categories

Youth: Up to 25 years
Adult: 26 years and over

Winner Announcement
Competition winners will be announced live at the Refugee Week Event on 17 June 2026 at 12 Synnot Street, Werribee.
Winner in both category gets a prize money of $300.
