Got a business idea but not sure where to start?

The Big Ideas Day is a hands-on, one-day workshop designed to help aspiring entrepreneurs turn their ideas into opportunities.

Through a facilitated 7-hour program, participants develop skills in:

  • Business ideation
  • Opportunity identification
  • Entrepreneurial thinking
  • Problem-solving and innovation

Using the proven Opportunity Analysis Canvas, participants will test and strengthen their business idea by exploring market opportunities, validating their concept, and understanding the investment of time, money, and resources needed to move forward.

By the end of the day, every participant leaves with:

  • A completed Opportunity Analysis Canvas
  • Practical frameworks and business tools
  • Greater confidence to take the next step in their entrepreneurial journey
  • Pathways to ongoing mentoring and support

Facilitators - Lynda Ford OAM and Frank Wyatt from iGen Foundation

Lynda Ford OAM is an entrepreneurship program designer, facilitator and mentor with more than fifteen years experience helping people turn ideas into viable businesses. Frank Wyatt has designed and delivered entrepreneurship programs for local governments for more than 30 years.

Together, they have designed and delivered Big Ideas Days, Business Builder workshops, pre-accelerators, accelerators, incubators, business coaching and mentoring programs for Australians from all walks of life. Over the years they have facilitated more than 1,000 online and in-person startup and business growth workshops.

In addition, they have led 73 youth- and migrant-focused program cohorts involving more than 3,000 Australians from more than 80 countries, supported by 6,300 hours of personalised mentoring.

Lynda and Frank bring a unique intercultural approach to entrepreneurship. They create and conduct programs where people from different cultural backgrounds, generations and life experiences learn with and from one another, build trusted networks, new markets and develop pathways into self-employment and business ownership.
