Book Trivia Terms and Conditions

By registering to participate in the Book Trivia Night event on 19 June 2026 at Hoppers Crossing Library from 6:30pm to 7:30pm (‘event’), you agree to these terms and conditions.

1. REGISTRATION
   1. To be eligible to register for the event, you must be over 18 years of age and live in Wyndham. 
   2. Registrations open at 10:30am on 5 June 2026 and must be made via Eventbrite.  There are 36 places available for the event and registrations will be accepted on a first come first served basis. There will be a waiting list once all places have been filled and you will be notified if a place becomes available.

Registrations may be made for teams of up to six (6) participants. If registering individually you agree to be matched with a team on the night.

2. PRIZES
   1. At the end of the event the team with the highest overall score, as determined by Council staff, will be deemed to be the event winner and each member of the team will receive a a prize comprised of book themed items up to $50 in value. 
   2. The prizes are not transferable, exchangeable or redeemable for cash.
3. CANCELLATION
   1. Notwithstanding any other provision of these conditions, and regardless of whether your participation in the event has been confirmed by Council, Council expressly reserves the right to cancel the event at any time.
   2. Council reserves the right to cancel your participation in the event and/or not accept future registrations for events where you have submitted false, inaccurate, insufficient or misleading information as part of your registration.
4. GENERAL
   1. Council may, acting reasonably in the circumstances, require you to provide evidence of your identity and/or eligibility to participate in the event and/or to receive a prize.
   2. Council reserves the right to change or modify these conditions at any time.
   3. Council’s decisions are final and no correspondence will be entered into.

Your personal information is being collected by Wyndham City Council for the purpose of administering your registration to attend and participate in the Book Trivia Night.  Council is using third-party platform, Eventbrite, to administer registrations. By registering for the event, you acknowledge and agree that any personal information you provide will be used, disclosed and stored by Eventbrite in accordance with Eventbrite’s Privacy Policy.  Your information will also be stored in Council’s Customer Database and used to identify you when communicating with Council and for delivery of services and information. Your personal information will be handled by Council in accordance with the Privacy and Data Protection Act 2014 (Vic).
