Join in some family fun whilst trying out a new sport and recreation activity. Melbourne Disc Golf Club (MDGC) are running a Disc Golf Come and Try for adults and children to try together.
Disc Golf involves throwing the disc (like a frisbee) from the starting spot (Tee) towards a metal basket on a pole (Pole Hole) - it takes quite a few throws to get from the start to landing it in the basket (a Putt)! A disc golf course has a number of 'holes' for you to try and is a fun activity that can be enjoyed by all ages together.
At the Come and Try session you will be shown how to hold, throw and 'putt' the disc, and learn safety rules to help everyone enjoy the course. Once you feel confident you will be encouraged to try out the Disc Golf course.
The session will take approximately 1 hour in total.
This activity is for kids and adults together, so come on adults, you can have some fun too! No experience needed, just a willingness to try something new!
This session is for age 7 years and over. Registrations under 7 years will be cancelled.
If you enjoy the session, chat to the volunteers to find out how you can carry on.
Please bring:
- a drink bottle with water
- wear comfortable clothing you can be active in
- Trainers (this is a Come and Try session, so no specific gear is needed) - no open toed shoes
