Fortitude Drive Reserve is Truganina’s newest active open space, delivering Wyndham’s second athletics facility that is open and accessible for all the community to use. 

This new space is being delivered in line with the Fortitude Drive Reserve Master Plan, a long-term vision for the Truganina site that will be realised over time as the community grows and funding becomes available. 

Stage one – completed in March 2026

This $10.1 million stage has delivered: 

• An athletics facility with supporting infrastructure 
• Play space 
• Grassed multi-use kickabout space 
• Landscaping
• Shelter
• BBQ and picnic facilities 
• Circuit track and path network
• Lighting
• Car park

This stage has been supported by a $908,000 Victorian Government grant.   

Stage two – construction to commence in early 2026

These works will deliver a sports pavilion equipped with a social room, change rooms, storerooms, kiosk and a public toilet.

All other elements of the Fortitude Drive Reserve Master Plan will be delivered as part of a future stage subject to funding availability.
