Wyndham City Council and IPC Health invite you to a free community screening of Going for Broke, a new ABC documentary series hosted by Shaun Micallef that shines a light on gambling harm and its impact on individuals, families and communities across Australia.

The session will feature selected clips from the series, followed by a lived experience presentation offering personal insights into the realities of gambling harm and the journey towards recovery.

Light refreshments will be available.

The impact of gambling harm continues to be a significant issue for the Wyndham community. Wyndham remains one of Victoria's highest-loss municipalities for electronic gaming machine (EGM) gambling, ranking seventh in the state in 2025-2026. Residents lost an estimated $145.5 million on EGMs during the last financial year alone. When losses from online gambling, sports betting, racing, bingo and other gambling activities are considered, the overall cost to individuals, families and the broader community is even greater. This highlights the importance of raising awareness of gambling harm and promoting support services for those affected.
