Please join us for Council's NAIDOC Week Flag Raising Event on Tuesday 7 July for a Welcome to Country, Smoking Ceremony, performance from Wemba Wemba artist Breanna Lee Wilson and morning tea.

For five decades, NAIDOC Week has celebrated the voices of our communities — steady, unapologetic, and proud. Each year, its themes have called for truth, celebrated culture, honoured resistance, and reminded the nation of who we are.

This event will launch NAIDOC Week in Wyndham with a Welcome to Country and Smoking Ceremony offered by Bunurong Traditional owners, a flag raising ceremony and special performance by emerging Wemba Wemba artist Breanna Lee Wilson who appeared on Australia’s Got Talent 4 years ago when she was 16 and went viral by performing in-language renditions of famous songs.

Following Breanna's performance morning tea and an opportunity for networking will be provided.
