Join us for a special session of Creative Writing Corner--this week with author and illustrator Dean Rankine (The Simpsons comics, Futurama, Rick and Morty, Oggy and the Cockroaches, Death Metal Emo Elves)! Discover how writing and drawing go hand in hand as you create your own comic in this fun, hands-on comic workshop. You will start with basic shapes, facial expressions and end with a full comic page.

This workshop is suitable for ages 7-14.

Topics covered:

• How to draw better stick figures.
• Facial expressions (using fruit and vegetables)
• Colour and Shape theory.
• Create fun characters.
• Camera ‘shots’.
• Speech Bubbles and Thought Balloons.
• Draw your own comic!

This activity requires bookings via Eventbrite. Bookings open at 9am on Monday 3 August. Please book tickets for children only; adults do not require a ticket, though they are required to remain and supervise.
