Construction is now underway on a major upgrade to Farfalla Way Park in Tarneit, transforming the space into a vibrant district park designed to better serve the growing local community.
This exciting Wyndham City project will deliver a range of new and improved features for residents of all ages and abilities, with work to be completed in stages over the remainder of 2026.
Work has begun to deliver new fitness equipment, accessible park furniture, improved landscaping and irrigation to the kick about space, and a new basketball court.
The project will also include refurbishment of the existing butterfly themed artworks and shelter, installation of an accessible BBQ and public toilet, and upgrades to the play space over the coming months.
Wyndham City Brinbeal Ward Councillor Robert Szatkowski said these works would elevate Farfalla Way Park to a district park that would service both Tarneit and the wider Wyndham area.
“We’re proud to be creating a space that brings the community together – whether it’s kids enjoying the new playground, families gathering for a BBQ, or residents staying active with the new fitness equipment,” Cr Szatkowski said.
“As our community grows, it’s important our open spaces grow with it. Once complete, Farfalla Way Park will offer more opportunities to play, exercise and unwind, creating a welcoming destination for our community to enjoy for years to come.”
The final design for the park was shaped by community feedback gathered in early 2026, helping ensure the upgraded space reflects the needs and priorities of our residents.
Work is expected to be completed in late 2026.
