Bayview Park upgrade delivers new adventures

Point Cook’s much-loved Bayview Park has received a playful upgrade, breathing new life into one of Wyndham’s most iconic playgrounds.

The park has been enhanced with refreshed lower play equipment, new swings, a climbing rope, and a sandpit designed to spark imagination and active play.

Families can also enjoy new park furniture and a drinking fountain, making it easier to relax and stay longer, while new fitness equipment helps parents and carers stay active while keeping an eye on the kids.

The $401,000 upgrade has been delivered as part of Wyndham City’s annual Park Asset Renewals Program, which has invested $4.4 million over 2025/26 to transform a series of outdoor spaces across the municipality into high-quality parks and playgrounds for people of all ages.

Wyndham City Deputy Mayor and Featherbrook Ward Councillor Jasmine Hill said the improvements ensure Bayview Park continues to be a destination for the community.

“With its signature pirate ship playground, Bayview Park has long been a favourite for local families, and these upgrades make it even more inviting, accessible and fun,” Cr Hill said.

“This treasure chest of upgrades ensures there’s something here for everyone to enjoy.”

Cheetham Ward Councillor Cr Susan McIntyre said these improvements not only support healthy, active lifestyles but also create places where people can come together, connect and enjoy the outdoors.

“We have great spaces in Wyndham for socialising and recreation, and Council is working hard to ensure we maintain safe and accessible parks,” Cr McIntyre said.
