The community is invited to have their say on the draft Creative Wyndham Strategy 2026–2030, which sets out Wyndham City Council’s direction for arts, culture and creativity over the next four years.
The strategy acknowledges that Wyndham is one of Australia’s fastest growing and most diverse cities, which is reflected in the growth of the City’s arts and culture scene. Additionally, the strategy recognises the influence the arts, culture and creativity have on improved wellbeing and community connection.
The Creative Wyndham Strategy 2026–2030 provides a clear framework to support the creative industry, increase community participation, and embed creativity into Wyndham’s places, identity and growth.
Highlights of the strategy include support for improved access to creative infrastructure and spaces; stronger pathways for creative practice and careers; increased participation in arts and cultural activity; more visible and inclusive creative experiences across Wyndham and greater links between creativity, public spaces and community identity.
The Creative Wyndham Strategy was shaped with community consultation, industry feedback and it aligns with Council’s key long-term plans, such as the Wyndham 2050 Community Vision and Council Plan 2025–2029 (incorporating the Municipal Public Health and Wellbeing Plan).
