Come along to our first ever library hosted toy swap session! Let's reuse the toys you don't want and save them from going to landfill. 

Each family is limited to bringing 6 toys in total. 
Please look over the instructions about what you can and cannot bring along. 

During the session you will have your toy assessed by staff and receive a token to swap for another toy. Staff will decline your toy if it is not clean or complete or if it is listed on the do not bring list. 

We cannot accept broken items or items that require batteries or power. We are also not accepting soft toys, books or large items. 

Toys that you can bring along include:

  • PLASTIC TOYS
  • WOODEN TOYS
  • COMPLETE WOODEN PUZZLES 
  • SENSORY TOYS FOR BABIES
  • MUSICAL INSTRUMENTS – not broken
  • BUILDING BLOCKS
  • PLASTIC DOLLS AND ACTION FIGURES – if clean and not broken

Please do not bring the following: 

  • BATTERY OPERATED TOYS
  • TOYS THAT NEED ELECTRICITY  or  THAT NEED TO BE CHARGED
  • SOFT TOYS
  • TOYS THAT ARE MAJORITY CLOTH OR MATERIAL 
  • PLAY ITEMS LIKE SAND, PLAYDOH OR SQUISHY SUBSTANCES 
  • LARGE ITEMS – no outside play equipment, dolls houses etc
  • BOOKS

Suitable for toys and children aged 0-12 years. Please note parents can attend this session with or without children. 

Children under 12 years of age must be accompanied by an adult when using the library and attending library programs.
