Celebrate Cultural Diversity Week by participating in activities and events that are being held across Wyndham this March.
This year’s theme for Cultural Diversity Week is ‘Culture connects us all’ – celebrating the unique and shared journeys of our diverse community and fostering understanding, belonging and connection.
Wyndham is one of the most diverse municipalities in the Country, with almost half of residents born overseas, over 184 different languages spoken and more than 100 different faiths represented.
There are a number of free activities being delivered and supported by Wyndham City throughout the week. Highlights of the week include:
Cultural Diversity Week Celebration
A celebration of Wyndham’s rich diversity through music and dance.

Diversity Week Movie Screening & Chat
A screening of the heartwarming movie The Wild Robot with pizza and popcorn provided. Chat about the movie’s theme of diversity and inclusion afterwards as a part of the group activities. Limited spots available, bookings essential.

Culture Connects Us All: Maxine Beneba Clarke
Hear from award-winning, Melbourne writer Maxine Beneba Clarke. Her collection of work explores themes including race, migration and displacement. Followed by light refreshments.

Beyond Slogans: Building Real Inclusion Together Workshop
Take part in a dynamic three hour workshop that explores the true meaning of diversity, equity and inclusion through interactive discussions, case studies, and guided self‑reflection.
