
Wyndham City Council and RMIT University are partnering to deliver a unique AI and analytics capability development program for businesses operating in the Wyndham LGA. The initiative aims to turbo-charge Wyndham businesses through a unique blend of business and technology know-how.
About the initiative
Businesses are facing challenging and disruptive conditions. To turbo-charge and help local businesses thrive, Wyndham City Council is partnering with RMIT University’s College of Business & Law in an exclusive opportunity to fast-track their AI transformation.
Through a structured program, local businesses will collaborate with specialists to tackle their operational challenge – using cutting-edge AI and analytics. Whether you are thinking of AI transformation or wanting to experiment with a possible solution, the team will work with you to move towards an outcome. Beyond the program, businesses will have access to the Business & Technology Studio at the SPARK Business & Innovation Hub to provide on-going support of your AI journey, including connecting your business to the wider RMIT innovation eco-system.
Subsidised by Wyndham City Council and RMIT University, this program is ideal for medium sized businesses. These will be able to explore AI transformation with minimal risk and maximum support. Selected participants may also be featured in case studies, focus groups, and community showcases, positioning your business as a local leader in innovation.
Program
The following is a typical 10-day Sprint Program. There might be changes to this schedule after discussion with an applicant. The 10 days can be split over a number of weeks depending on RMIT’s and the applicant’s requirements.

Develop a shared understanding of AI as an enabler and the organisational challenges; initiate conversations around opportunities as well as risk, investment, indicator of success.

Problem Formulation |
Playback of shared understanding; develop an area of focus; ideation of an approach to achieve possible outcomes.

Day 3 |
Data Mapping and Preparation
|
Identification of data availability and maturity; prepare sample to progress a viable version of an outcome; development of roadmap towards improved data readiness.

Day 4 and 5 | Solutioning |
Developing further details and initial paper specs of AI solution for playback with stakeholders.

Duration and cost
The program is structured as a 10-day sprint or can consist of two parts (5 day each) to allow for ease of accommodating each business’s schedule.
This is a co-funded program with the investment for each of the participating business of $8,540 + GST. Wyndham City Council and RMIT University are subsidising the program with an estimated total program value $25,620 + GST.

RMIT Business & Technology Studio at the SPARK Business & Innovation Hub, 600 Sneydes Road Werribee.
Outcomes
Selected businesses will be able to participate in a 10-day sprint to look at their business challenges and to move towards one of the outcomes below.
- AI and analytics strategy development
- AI readiness assessment, including risks and governance
- Workforce planning to ready the business for AI transformation
- AI solution prototyping and proof-of-concept
- Developing an implementation plan for Australia’s AI guardrails

Application Form
Applications are now open for local businesses to apply for the Wyndham AI for Business Sprints Program.
You need to submit your application by not later than midnight Monday 31 March 2026.
However, applications will be assessed as they come in and if shortlisted applicants may be invited to attend a brief interview. Up to 12 businesses will be selected to participate in the program which will be held between October 2025 and May 2026.
