Movies in the Park is going on the road and coming to a park near you! Pack your picnic rug and head out for a magical night of FREE outdoor cinema. With a fantastic lineup of family movies, free popcorn, and plenty of delicious dinner options from nearby businesses, it’s the perfect way to spend an evening with family and friends in a relaxed park setting.
Our Christmas movie is a special edition in the series. There will be more entertainment, a visit from Santa and lots of festive fun. It's the perfect way to catch up with family and friends and celebrate the season.

FAQs
Do I need to book or register?
No booking or ticketed entry is required. These events are free and you can just show up!
What is the timing of the movie?
Come at 5pm for free entertainment, popcorn and settle in for the movie starting 6pm.
What are the seating options? You are welcome to bring a picnic blanket or fold-up chairs. If you bring chairs, you may be asked to move to the back or side for the comfort of others. Please note that tables, umbrellas, and marquees are not permitted.
Can I bring a picnic?
Yes, you can bring a picnic! We encourage you to explore the wide range of food choices available from local cafes so you can grab takeaway to enjoy while watching the movie. Alcohol is not permitted.
Will there be food available?
Yes, there are many fabulous restaurants and eateries with takeaway options. You can grab takeaway for your picnic or book a table in advance to dine in before or after the movie.
What else should I bring?
Be sure to pack sunscreen, a hat, and water, as it may be warm when the movie starts. Bring extra layers, as the park will get cooler once the sun goes down. Picnic blankets and fold-up chairs are welcome, but we ask that chairs be set up at the side or back of the viewing area to respect other attendees.
Getting There and Parking Public Transport:
Public Transport is available to each location, making it easy to access via train or bus.
• Hoppers Junction is just a few minutes’ walk from Hoppers Crossing Train Station, making it easy to access via train or bus.
• Williams Landing is just a few minutes’ walk from Williams Landing Train Station, making it easy to access via train or bus.
• Wyndham Park is just a few minutes’ walk from Werribee Train Station, making it easy to access via train or bus.
• Barrabool Boulevard Park in Mambourin is easily accessed by Bus Routes 192 or 194. Parking Options: There is plenty of free parking available close by each venue for easy access. Ensure you check local parking signs for restrictions.
Can I bring my dog?
For the comfort of all attendees, we do not recommend bringing your dog to this event. Service animals are welcome.
Are the movie sessions accessible?
Yes, each location has a flat surface with accessible entry. Assistance animals certified by a registered authority are welcome. The movie will also feature closed captions.
What happens if it rains?
This is an outdoor event that may be affected by poor weather. We will monitor conditions leading up to the event. If extreme weather is forecasted, updates will be posted on the Wyndham City website and Facebook page regarding potential changes or cancellations.
Are there toilets onsite?
Yes, portable toilets will be provided for the event.

Alcohol and smoking are not permitted at this Wyndham City event.

BYO food is permitted at this event.
Photography/Filming
Live streaming or broadcasting of this event is not permitted. Commercial photography is not permitted without prior permission from Council.
Children
Children must be supervised by a parent or guardian at all times.
Pets and Animals
Dogs are permitted at this event provided they are on a lead and supervised by their owner at all times. Owners must pick up after their dogs. All other pets and animals are not permitted.
Advertising and the Sale or Hire of Goods
Attendees are not permitted to sell or offer for sale or hire any items, nor to distribute handbills, pamphlets, notices or other advertising materials, without prior permission from Council.
Anti-social Behaviour
Anti-social behaviour is prohibited. This event is intended to be a family-friendly, safe and comfortable event for all attendees. Council requires that attendees behave in a safe, responsible and courteous manner at all times.
Free Activities
Many of the free activities at this event are run by local businesses and organisations. Council makes no guarantee about an activity’s quality or suitability. Attendees are responsible for deciding whether an activity is appropriate for themselves and/or their children.
Be SunSmart
It is recommended that attendees take proper SunSmart precautions at the event, including using sunscreen, wearing a hat, and staying hydrated.
Property
Attendees are responsible for all personal property brought to this event and must not leave their belongings unattended. Council reserves the right to remove any property left unattended at this event.
Consent in Relation to Images and Photographs
By entering this Wyndham City event, attendees confirm their awareness that photography/video may be taking place and their image may be captured and used by Wyndham City Council including printed publications, website, social media and may be shared with media and tourism bodies in promotion of Council activities. Wyndham City Council uses consent forms to obtain consent for close up imagery of adults and children, however, please note crowd photography and filming may be taking place. If you DO NOT want your photo or your child’s photo taken, please talk to the photographer/videographer or a Council staff member.
Compliance with Laws and Directions
Attendees must comply with all laws and follow any reasonable directions given by a Council officer, authorised event security personnel, or Police.
Cancellation and/or Modification of Event
Council reserves the right to cancel and/or modify this event. Any changes will be advised via Council’s website and the Wyndham City Facebook page
Failure to Comply with Conditions of Entry
Failure to comply with these Conditions of Entry may result in an attendee being removed from the event and refused re-entry to the event and/or future Council events.
