Get excited – construction on a series of open space upgrades to Presidents Park is now complete!
The $1.8 million Wyndham City project, supported by a $320,000 Growing Suburbs Fund grant, has delivered a suite of improvements designed to make one of Wyndham’s most popular open spaces safer, greener and more accessible.
Among the works are a new park road for smoother and safer access during major events, new walking paths to explore and enjoy and a sheltered picnic area for family and community gatherings
Meanwhile, additional trees to enhance the park’s natural beauty will be planted later this year during planting season.
The updated space was officially opened today by Wyndham City CEO Stephen Wall, Mayor Josh Gilligan and Minister for Development Victoria and Precincts Harriet Shing.
These upgrades are in line with the broader Presidents Park Master Plan – a long-term vision to ensure the park meets the needs of Wyndham’s growing population.
The enhancements will also boost the park’s capacity to host events.
Whether you’re heading there for a walk, a family picnic or a big event, there’s never been a better time to visit Presidents Park.
