Wyndham City’s Pop-Up Library Van is on the road and visiting a range of sites and locations across Wyndham.
Wyndham City’s Mayor, Cr Mia Shaw, said: “The Pop-Up Library Van brings the library to the community and addresses service gaps in Wyndham.”
“It offers remote and agile library services and compliments our suite of Library branches and services.”
“The Pop-Up Library Van visits locations across Wyndham, delivering free Library programs and services, including the extremely popular Baby Time and Rhyme time for our younger residents aged under three and offers a small collection of books to browse and borrow and high speed WIFI.”
The Pop-Up Library Van is rostered to visit different locations, four days a week during business hours with two staff members on board.
During Term 2, the Pop-Up Library Van will host a Baby Time from 10.30am to 11am every Monday at Koomail Tardy Community Centre. Rhyme Time sessions will be from 10:30am to 11am on Tuesdays at Lollypop Creek Community Centre, on Wednesdays at Dianella Community Centre and on Thursdays at Arndell Park Community Centre. After each program, the Van will open up for library membership, sign-ups and borrowing until 11:30am.
The Pop-Up Library Van also visits Little River Mechanics Institute Hall for a monthly Craft and Conversation program on the first Thursday of the month from 2.30pm to 4pm.
The Pop-Up Library Van makes it easier for residents in new and developing areas to access Library services through the Pop-Up Library Van visiting their location.
