Wyndham City Libraries is excited to announce the reopening of Julia Gillard Library Tarneit on Thursday 5 June, following a series of key upgrades designed to enhance user experience.

Julia Gillard Library Tarneit, located at 50 Sunset Views Boulevard, was temporarily closed in early May essential maintenance works.

The closure allowed for the installation of new customer service pods which has doubled the number of service points from two to four—helping us serve the community more quickly and efficiently.

The new refreshed and upgraded lighting throughout the space has created a brighter, more inviting atmosphere for all visitors and improves the usability of the library spaces.

Wyndham City’s Mayor, Cr Mia Shaw, said: “The Julia Gillard Library is re-open and welcoming back the community and again providing a huge range of services, activities and events as before.”

“The Julia Gillard Library has an extensive and comprehensive range of both physical and on-line Bi-lingual resources.”

“Wyndham Libraries are free to join and give you access to a range of resources; hard copy books, magazines or e-books, e-audiobooks or podcasts!”

“Our libraries offer so many benefits to our community, including providing access to information and education, acting as a gathering space for events and activities that support physical and mental health wellbeing, and supporting social cohesion and cultural understanding,” Cr Shaw said.

We welcome the community back and look forward to seeing you soon!
