Residents in Manor Lakes are invited to have their say on the latest dog off-leash park that’s planned for Wyndham, located in Hindmarsh Drive Reserve.
Wyndham City Mayor, Cr Mia Shaw, said the proposed inclusions for the park aim to keep dogs safe, active and socialised.
“Hindmarsh Drive Reserve is planned to include fenced lawn areas with double gates to maximise pet safety. There’ll also be a drinking fountain, agility equipment, doggie bag dispensers and new trees with landscaping and seating.”
“We know that this neighbourhood is the one with the highest number of registered dogs per household, without a designated dog off-leash area.”
“Dog parks provide a space for residents to safely let their dogs out, encouraging socialisation and connection – dogs are an important part of a healthy and socially connected community.”
Residents are invited to discuss the project on Saturday 9 August, 10am – 1pm at Hindmarsh Drive Reserve, Manor Lakes.
