Wyndham City is calling all women aged 18 and over living, working or playing in the West, to take up a free 10-week health program that takes a holistic approach to improving their health and wellbeing.
Wyndham City is partnering with the Western Bulldogs Community Foundation and Western Leisure Services to deliver an informative, fun and hands-on workshop for women at Eagle Stadium that will provide participants with the tools and knowledge to improve their physical and mental health and wellbeing through a series of workshops, presentations and events in a supportive environment.
The program will begin on 12 August and runs for 10 weeks. Each session is from 6.30pm to 8.30pm for approximately two hours, where participants hear from various experts each week on a range of health topics, including nutrition, social inclusion, and mental wellbeing.
Following the educational component of the program, participants engage in various activities designed to build connection with one another. This is then followed by exercise sessions at a level tailored to each participants’ ability, ensuring everyone has the chance to get moving.
The program is inclusive and we welcome women of all ages, backgrounds and abilities to register.
Whether you’re looking for new ways to proactively improve your health, some tips on how to get active or make new connections in your community, this program is for you.
So often the support of others helps us on our health and wellbeing journey. This program helps create a sense of community.
