Wyndham City has crossed the finish line on the first 12 Wyndham Active Revitalisation Program upgrades, with work on a further eight projects also underway.
From new netball player benches at Mossfiel Reserve for the Hoppers Crossing Netball Association to upgraded LED sportsground lighting at Saltwater Reserve and Williams Landing Sports Reserve for Point Cook Football Club and Williams Landing Soccer Club respectively, these works are improving facilities for clubs while also enhancing the game-day experience.
Other completed improvements include electronic scoreboard improvements at Chirnside Park for the Werribee Football Club, Glory League game analysis technology at Eagle Stadium for the Wyndham Basketball Association and new player benches at Galvin Park Reserve for Werribee Centrals Sport and Youth Club.
These exciting projects are among 46 upgrades being delivered at community sport and recreation clubs across Wyndham between early 2026 and June 2027 as part of our $3.75 million Wyndham Active Revitalisation Program, helping clubs become more welcoming, inclusive and fit for the future.
Wyndham City Mayor Preet Singh said the program was delivering improvements that make a real difference for players and spectators alike.
“This program is all about backing our local clubs and making sure our sporting facilities keep pace as they continue to grow,” Cr Singh said.
“These upgrades might seem small on their own, but together they’re making a big difference – creating safer, more inclusive and more enjoyable spaces for our community to come together and stay active.”
“These are practical, targeted improvements that clubs have told us they need, whether it’s better lighting, seating, or equipment.”
