ARTWORK inspiration – BREEZE 

We watch a sheet billowing on a clothesline, beautiful, simple …… 

then the breeze lifts it, it moves as if alive. It breathes, it rises and falls. For a moment the wind shows its shape. 

The breeze has travelled far. It has moved across oceans and land, over roofs, through streets and cities. It has brushed past trees, crossed rivers and danced through communities, messing hair, nudging hats and carrying the smell of cooking down the block. 

It has touched our skin and ruffled our clothes. 

Breeze connects us, simply, beautifully… to nature, to one another. 

ARTWORK description – BREEZE 

Breeze is an enriching night-time projection artwork communicating our connection to nature and one another. 

Seven majestic veils moved by the breeze, display ethereal, luminescent imagery, the transitioning movement evoking discovery, and change. 

The experience begins with gentle, atmospheric visual and musical currents, building into layered, dynamic energy and culminating in a powerful storm-like crescendo before gently returning to the light movement of a breeze.

Breeze (Show-mode): The Journey

Inspired by the thousands of migratory birds that take the epic 12,000 km journey from Siberia to their warm spring home here in Werribee, The Journey is an artistic celebration of the delicate yet robust Sharp Tailed Sandpiper.  Soaring and dipping through changing, dramatic weather conditions, over oceans, through mountain gorges and vibrant city scapes, The Journey is a playful explosion of light and colour, symbolic of the opportunities and new lives brought to this area through its long and ongoing history of immigration.
