K W Studio – Landscape Architecture is a Werribee/Naarm-based landscape architecture consultancy and cultural design studio led by Kirstine Wallis, a landscape architect, artist, and educator with over a decade of experience across public realm, urban design, residential landscapes, cultural landscape projects, and master planning.
The studio creates resilient and meaningful spaces ranging from residential gardens and playspaces to public open space, waterways, educational campuses, streetscapes, and strategic landscape frameworks. Services include landscape architecture, landscape design, Design with Country advisory, cultural landscape planning, water-sensitive urban design (WSUD), planting design, project coordination, stakeholder engagement, and creative placemaking.
Grounded in ecology, observation, and care for Country, the practice integrates strong horticultural knowledge with culturally responsive and community-centred approaches. K W Studio works collaboratively with Traditional Owners, knowledge holders, councils, consultants, developers, and community groups to create landscapes that support biodiversity, climate resilience, connection, and long-term stewardship.
Alongside landscape architecture services, the studio also offers illustration, watercolour, public art, and cultural interpretation exploring relationships between land, water, sky, and community beneath the Southern Sky.
Kirstine Wallis is a Board Director of Indigenous Architecture and Design Australia (IADA) and previously taught at the University of Melbourne, co-leading the masters-level Design with Country: Resilience Studio for over five years.
