The Friends of Skeleton Creek was formed in 1991 by a group of local people who wanted to protect and restore the creek environment. Our aim is to involve local people in caring for and improving our creek and its catchment. Once a month we hold planting days to put back indigenous plants or do maintenance. We are concerned for the health of the creek and we also act as a watchdog for the creek’s water quality

Volunteer Positions Available

Once a month we have an activity along Skeleton Creek, planting, weeding, spreading mulch, watering or collecting rubbish. From May to September we revegetate with indigenous plants and when it is too dry to plant we spread mulch or remove weeds. Our activities are on the fourth Sunday of the month and usually from 1pm to 3pm.
