The Community Amenity Local Law 2023 was developed to protect the amenity of Wyndham City and the safety of all those who come to be in it. The updated Local Law was adopted on August 22 2023, and comes into effect on September 22 2023.
The Community Amenity Local Law is divided into six parts:
Your Property
This section describes how the property the live on should be kept and maintained.
Your Pets and Animals
This section describes how animals like dogs, cats, birds, and livestock should be kept and managed within Wyndham City
Construction and Building Sites
This section relates to requirements for building sites and construction work
Businesses and Trade
This section contain clauses relating to business and their impact on amenity, as well as trading or commercial use on Council Land
Council Land, Assets, and Roads
This section describes appropriate behaviour on Council Land, reserves, and roads, and clauses to protect Councils assets.
Administration
This section outlines Administrative requirements for the Local Law and how it can be applied.
