Coastcare Point Cook meet on the third Sunday of each month onsite at the Historic Point Cook Homestead. The event goes from 9am till 11am and at the conclusion an optional morning tea is available. Activities include gardening, weeding, mulching, pruning, sweeping and tidying of the external grounds of the Point Cook Homestead.
This work improves the aesthetics of the area and gives the friendly Park Victoria Rangers a helping hand. Most regular attendees find the company is also a good reason to return.
There is also the option to tend to the Wetlands Walk a natural area of the Park showcasing the vast array of locally indigenous plants that grow in the Park. There has been a lot of noxious weed control work carried out here, along with a planting event attended by the local community and students from Homestead Secondary College.
All ages and abilities are welcome, the children really enjoy exploring the grounds and having a beach walk.
