CareStart runs over 4 weeks (from Tuesday to Thursday each week) from 10 am to 2.30 pm each day.

The program combines industry exposure, guest speakers, workplace skills and behaviours, accredited training, and opportunities to visit health and community service workplaces and organisations, including Behind the Scenes experience at Footscray Hospital.
