Looking for a fun and active after-school activity?

Join our Thursday After School Badminton Coaching program for children aged 7–16 years. This welcoming session is ideal for beginners and developing players who want to improve their badminton skills while staying active, making friends and building confidence.

Led by Head Coach Craig Pethebridge, players learn through structured coaching, engaging drills and game-based activities in a supportive environment. With smaller group sizes than many of our other sessions, players receive plenty of individual feedback to help accelerate their development.

Players will work on key areas including:
🏸 Basic stroke technique and control
🏸 Footwork and movement patterns
🏸 Hand-eye coordination and timing
🏸 Rallying skills and consistency
🏸 Introduction to game awareness

Each session includes warm-ups, skill-based drills, multi-shuttle exercises and guided gameplay to reinforce learning in realistic match situations. Training follows a structured and progressive program, allowing players to build their skills and confidence over time.

The Junior Fundamentals program forms part of The Badminton Hub's player development pathway, helping players progress towards our Junior Performance squads as their skills improve.

Players are grouped by age and ability wherever possible to provide the best learning experience in a friendly and inclusive environment.
