Wyndham City is undertaking a comprehensive $8.5 million upgrade of Old Melbourne Road, Rothwell Road, and McLeans Road in Little River.

The project is being delivered in three stages, with stage one currently under construction:
Stage one: complete rebuild of Old Melbourne Road (between Little River and Little River Road) and Rothwell Road (between Old Melbourne Road to McLeans Road) with sealed lanes and shoulders, and drainage works. This stage is on track for completion in late 2025.
Stages two and three*: will include upgrades to McLeans Road (between Flinders Street and Rothwell Road) and
Rothwell Road (between Flinders Street and McLeans Road)
*These stages are subject to future funding.
