As part of Connecting Wyndham, we’re investing $10.8 million to upgrade the intersection of Shaws Road and Tarneit Road – an important step towards creating a safer, more efficient, and connected transport network for residents and visitors alike. 

Features

• Duplicating the Tarneit Road and Shaws Road intersection, adding extra lanes to cater for growing traffic and minimise traffic disruptions
• Installing traffic lights at the intersection to improve the flow of traffic
• Enhancing existing pedestrian and cycling linkages for better accessibility and safety

Construction is expected to commence in October 2026.

Please note, a small section of Shaws Road (between the Tarneit Road and Shaws Road roundabout and Powercor substation) will be closed in both directions between mid-January to end of February 2027, and signed detours will be in place.
