Wyndham City is progressing plans for a new purpose-built The Big Shed at Fortitude Drive Reserve, Truganina.

The venue will provide a flexible, affordable space for major celebrations and community gatherings close to home, responding to community feedback for a large multipurpose facility.

Council has identified Fortitude Drive Reserve as the preferred location following site assessments that considered access, co-location opportunities and supporting amenities.

Next steps will include preparing a detailed design brief and inviting targeted and public engagement on early concepts.

Subject to funding and approvals, the project will then move through formal design and delivery processes.
