Great news for Tarneit families – construction is now complete on a major upgrade to Farfalla Way Park!
This exciting Wyndham City project has delivered a range of new and improved features for residents of all ages and abilities, including brand new play and fitness equipment and a new basketball half court.
Other features include accessible park furniture, an accessible BBQ and landscaping and irrigation improvements to the kick-about space.
A public toilet is also expected to be installed on site in early 2027.
Wyndham City Mayor, Councillor Mia Shaw, said it was fantastic to see the transformation of Farfalla Way Park now complete.
“Farfalla Way Park is an important local space, and this upgrade will give Tarneit residents and the wider Wyndham community more opportunities to play, exercise and spend time outdoors close to home,” Cr Shaw said.
“As Tarneit continues to grow, it’s important that our parks and open spaces grow with the community, and this upgrade provides a welcoming place for people to get active, relax and connect with others.”
The project has been delivered through Wyndham City’s annual Park Asset Renewals Program, which invests in renewing and improving existing parks and playgrounds across Wyndham.
The final design for the park was shaped by community feedback gathered in early 2026, helping ensure the upgraded space reflected the needs and priorities of our residents.
Wyndham City is celebrating the completion of this upgrade with a community opening event on Friday 23 October between 3.30pm and 5.30pm that will include free hot beverages, a sausage sizzle and face painting.
