Try something new this October at the Victorian Seniors Festival and celebrate the vital contributions that seniors make to our community.
The State-wide festival includes a wide variety of programs in Wyndham to enjoy. Whether you’re looking to get active, try your hand at something creative, learn more about your family history or simply enjoying time with others, there’s something for everyone.
Wyndham City Mayor, Councillor Mia Shaw said the Victorian Seniors Festival was a great opportunity to celebrate local seniors and recognise the important role they play in the community.
“Wyndham City is proud to support local seniors with opportunities to stay active, connected and engaged, while having fun and enjoying new experiences,” Cr Shaw said.
“This year’s program includes a range of activities to enjoy, with everything from chair yoga and tai chi to terrarium workshops, social clubs and come-and-try Mahjong sessions,” Cr Shaw said.
“Seniors will also be able to experience our free Seniors Exercise Park with morning tea and exercise demonstrations on Tuesday 13 October at Central Park Community Centre,” Cr Shaw said.
Wyndham City encourages all seniors to take part in this year’s program of events. Whether it’s rediscovering an old hobby, learning something new, or simply having fun, the Victorian Seniors Festival is a great opportunity to get involved and make new connections.
