Getting around Werribee City Centre is about to become easier and safer, with construction on three new and upgraded pedestrian crossings set to start on Monday 20 July 2026.

Delivered as part of our Rediscover Werribee City Centre program and funded through the Victorian Government’s Safe Local Roads and Streets Program, works include:

  • A new pedestrian crossing on Watton Street (between Wedge and Werribee Streets) with flashing lights
  • Upgrades to the existing Watton Street crossing (between Duncans Rd and Cherry St) with flashing lights
  • A new pedestrian crossing at Comben Drive, Wyndham Park entrance

Benefits:

  • Improve road safety for all users
  • Calm on-road traffic through the Werribee City Centre
  • Enhance accessibility around the Werribee City Centre
