Planning is underway for an indoor aquatic facility in the Tarneit area.
Wyndham City Council has begun planning for an indoor aquatic facility in the Tarneit area to meet the needs of the municipality’s rapidly growing population.
The planning work will develop initial concept designs, indicative costs, funding options and a proposed delivery timeline for a new indoor aquatic centre to service Wyndham’s northern and western suburbs.
This will include investigation of multiple potential sites within the Tarneit area.
Council expects to consider these details in 2026, with the aim of deciding on next steps for this project, including recommended site location by mid-2026.
Council will also use the outcomes of the planning work to guide advocacy to State and Federal Governments.
