In August 2026, Wyndham City terminated an agreement with Western Melbourne Group to develop the Wyndham Stadium Precinct and Western Melbourne Group's lease at Ironbark Fields.

Council has now taken over responsibility and maintenance of the site and is currently completing outstanding capital works and service connections at Ironbark Fields to prepare for the reactivation of this much-loved asset.

It is important to note that any future plans for Ironbark Fields and the wider Wyndham Stadium Precinct will be a decision of Council.

Wyndham City is proud to have delivered Ironbark Fields, and we are looking forward to reactivating this state-of-the-art sporting facility and facilitating a diverse program of sport fixtures, competitions and events – watch this space for further updates.
