We’ve taken play time to the next level at our parks, playgrounds and kindergartens, with a series of upgrades complete and even more underway.

Families can enjoy a new playground, BBQs, drinking fountain, improvements to the kickabout area and landscaping at Point Cook’s Lincoln Heath Boulevard Reserve, which has scored an upgrade as part of Wyndham City’s Park Asset Renewal Program.

Tom Roberts Parade (Eccles Vista Reserve) in Point Cook has also received a makeover, with a play equipment refresh, garden bed re-mulching and irrigation upgrade to keep the reserve looking its best.

Over in Werribee, Latham Street Reserve now features a brand-new playground with swings, a track ride and multi-play unit, upgraded fitness equipment and improved landscaping, making the space safer, greener and more fun.

Meanwhile, the outdoor space at Woodville Childcare Centre in Hoppers Crossing has also received an upgrade, with new play equipment, a cubby house, water play area, vegetable garden, refreshed sandpit, refurbished yarning circle and improved landscaping.

These exciting enhancements form part of this year’s $4.4 million Park Asset Renewal Program, which is transforming a series of outdoor spaces across Wyndham into high-quality parks and playgrounds for people of all ages.

And there’s so much more to come, with improvements to the outdoor space at Woodville Kindergarten in Hoppers Crossing on track for completion at the end of January, playground and landscaping upgrades underway at Point Cook’s Penton Way Reserve, and six other projects due for completion in the coming months.

Wyndham City Mayor, Councillor Josh Gilligan, said these works were breathing new life into our local parks and creating beautiful open spaces that the whole family can enjoy, close to home.

“Local parks play a vital role in the life of a community – they provide space for exercising, playing, socialising with friends and family or relaxing and unwinding,” Cr Gilligan said.

“These ongoing improvements ensure our outdoor spaces remain safe, accessible and packed with fun for all ages.”
