Nominate a local legend! Citizen and Young Citizen of the Year Awards 2027

Wyndham City invites residents to celebrate those individuals who make the community a better place by nominating these local legends for a Citizen or Young Citizen of the Year Award.

Wyndham City Mayor, Cr Mia Shaw, said the successful awardees will be recognised in 2027.

“Our Citizen and Young Citizen of the Year Awards celebrate the remarkable people who make Wyndham a stronger, more connected and vibrant community,” Cr Shaw said.

“We all know someone who goes the extra mile for others - whether it's in a workplace, a local community group, or a sporting club.”

“Nominations can be for contributions in areas such as education, health, fundraising, charitable and voluntary services, business, sport, the arts, the environment and more.”

"These individuals give their time, energy and passion to support others, often without seeking recognition. We encourage residents to take the opportunity to nominate someone whose efforts deserve to be celebrated."

“Our Young Citizen of the Year award is also an opportunity to encourage our young community leaders to continue to make a real difference, helping to support and empower them.”
