Wyndham City invites feedback to update its sustainable home and lifestyle program, which aims to help residents create comfortable, efficient and sustainable homes and also reduce environmental impacts.

Feedback will build on existing programs to better understand topics residents are interested in, this is in line with government direction to promote economic, social and environmental sustainability, including mitigation and planning for climate change risk.

Wyndham City has been successfully running a range of sustainability programs for the past 12 years, highlights include:

My Smart Garden - which encourages and supports residents to grow native habitats and their own fruit and vegetables, and participate in initiatives such as food swaps at markets.

Wyndham Seed Library - free seed packets to grow native plants, fruit and vegetables are available through Wyndham's libraries, this promotes native habitats, healthy eating and a reduction in food packaging.

Energy Smart Home – offers tips to improve a homes' heating and cooling without reliance on electricity and gas.
