Prepare and submit your planning permit application

What you need to apply for your planning permit will be determined by your project.

We strongly suggest you begin by talking to our planning team or a planning professional.

Get pre-application advice

The best place to start is to talk to us about your proposal. We will be able to guide you and provide advice about your specific proposal.

See the Apply for pre-application advice page for more information.

Prepare your application

To get a planning permit, you will need to provide:

  • a copy of the Certificate of Title for your property and any associated covenants or restrictions
  • a site layout plan
  • site context plan
  • concept elevation plans
  • concept floor plan
  • a Neighbourhood Character Statement (if your proposal is for 5 or more lots or dwellings)
  • a written statement about your proposal.

The requirements for your plans and proposal will depend on what kind of planning permit you are applying for. For more information, see the Types of planning applications page.

We strongly suggest you engage a planning professional to help you prepare your application. They will be able to help you gather all the information you need and interpret the Wyndham Planning Scheme.
