Request building permits, notices and orders 

You will need to request Regulation 51(1) information if you need information about: 

• building permits issued in the last 10 years 
• any notices and orders issued on a property.

Request information about flooding, fire and termites

For information about whether a property may be affected by flooding or subject to attack by termites, you will need to request a property information certificate (regulation 51(2) information).

Request information about inspection history

For information about a property's inspection history, you will need to request Regulation 51(3) information. To request this information, you need to be either: 

• the property owner
• the mortgagee
• a prescribed building practitioner acting under the Building Act 1993.
