Public Questions & Responses

Please note that to ensure the safety of Councillors, staff and the community, an interim registration process has been introduced for Council Meetings to manage in-person attendance, with the next Council Meeting on 26 May 2026. If you have submitted a public question and would like to attend in person, you will still need to register your attendance online.

Public questions will be read out and responded to during the online Council Meeting. 

Wyndham City has made provision in the Business Agenda of each Meeting of Council, to hold a Public Question Time session. There are rules governing the conduct of Public Question Time, which are outlined in Rule 55 of the Governance Rules.

Maximum number of questions

No person may submit more than two questions at any one meeting.

Time limit for lodging a question

Questions must be submitted no later than 5pm the day prior to the Council Meeting. Questions submitted after 5pm on the day prior to the Council Meeting will not be answered at the Meeting.

Response to Public Questions

Questions that comply with the Governance Rules will be read out at the meeting and a response will be provided.

If the question is read out and answered at the meeting, the response will be recorded in the minutes of the meeting. If the submitter is not present at the meeting, the question will not be read out, and a written response will be provided to the submitter.
