The Mossfiel Integrated Family Centre (IFC) will include three kindergarten rooms with a capacity for 33 children in each room, a large outdoor play space and two Maternal and Child Health rooms.
It will replace the former Mossfiel Kindergarten and Hoppers Crossing Children’s Centre (which will both be demolished to make way for the new facility and open space) and provide Hoppers Crossing families with important early years services, all under one roof.
The centre will welcome children and families for three and four-year-old kindergarten in February 2024.
The Mossfiel IFC is part of a $47 million Kindergarten Infrastructure and Service Plan between Council and the Department of Education and Training to support the delivery of early years infrastructure.
Work to demolish the Mossfiel Kindergarten (at the North-East corner of the reserve) will take place in early 2024. The site will be reinstated as open space and Council will be engaging the community on the development of this area in 2024.
