About the Course and Riding Safety

The pop-up course is a child-sized “mini city”, designed to help young riders practise real-world road rules in a safe and fun way. The track includes speed humps, crossings, traffic lights and plenty of turns to master.

Traffic Park Road Rules

Ride smart, stay safe — and have fun on your bike!

  • Helmet on, strap up – Always wear your helmet.
  • For little riders only – The Traffic Park is designed for kids aged 3 to 12 years.
  • Adults, please stay close – All children must be supervised by a parent or guardian. Staff won’t always be available
  • Check your bike – Make sure your tyres are pumped and your brakes work before you ride.
  • Keep to the left – Just like the real road, always ride on the left side.
  • Red means STOP! When you see a stop sign or a red light, brake and look both ways.
  • Green means GO! Wait for the green light before you ride off.
  • Look, listen, and think – Keep your eyes up and watch out for other riders and pedestrians.
  • Leave space – Don’t ride too close - everyone needs room to move.
  • Use your hands – Signal left or right when you’re turning.
  • Pedestrians first – Slow down and let people walking cross safely.
  • Be kind on the road – Smile, wave, and take turns - good manners make great riders.
  • Follow the signs – Traffic lights, arrows, and crossings help you know where to go.
  • Have fun! Enjoy your ride, explore the City Centre, and be a traffic park star!
