Learn about Australian Native Bees and make your very own insect hotel to take home!

During this session, Holly teaches about some of the Australian Native bees that we might come across in our gardens in Victoria, what kind of plants that they like, and how we can provide habitat for them to welcome them into our gardens and play spaces. Children will make an insect hotel to take home to provide habitat for the these amazing insects. 

All materials are provided however children are also encouraged to forage for natural materials in the garden to add to their insect hotels (eg sticks, bamboo, seedpods, etc).

Ages 5+

This activity requires bookings via Eventbrite. Bookings open at 9am on the day. Please book 1 ticket per child and 1 per adult. Limit of 1 adult per family.

Please note that if you do not arrive within 15 minutes of the start time, your booking may be cancelled. 

Children under 12 years of age must be accompanied by a parent/carer when using the library and attending library programs.
