Get your motor running … work on a comprehensive upgrade of Old Melbourne Road, Rothwell Road, and McLeans Road in Little River is now complete!
This $8.5 million Wyndham City project has delivered a complete rebuild of Old Melbourne Road (between Little River and Little River Road) and Rothwell Road (between Old Melbourne Road to McLeans Road) with sealed lanes and shoulders, and drainage works.
Wyndham City’s Werribee Park Ward Councillor, Mia Shaw, said this priority Connecting Wyndham project delivers enhanced road safety, smoother traffic flow and reduced maintenance costs.
“This upgrade is a win for everyone in Little River,” Cr Shaw said.
“These upgrades aren’t just about fixing roads, they’re about improving travel for our community.”
“Safer roads, smoother journeys, and less time spent in traffic mean our community can get where they need to go more easily and safely.”
“Through our Connecting Wyndham program, we’re investing in better, safer roads for everyone. This project is a perfect example of how we’re making it easier to move around Wyndham.”
Meanwhile, Council is planning further upgrades to McLeans Road (between Flinders Street and Rothwell Road) and Rothwell Road (between Flinders Street and McLeans Road) in Little River under Connecting Wyndham, with timing and delivery subject to future funding.
